Beets are just the perfect vegetable for seaming because they do not lose their beneficial properties when cooked. Together with other vegetables, you will get delicious salads that can be used to diversify your winter menu. Beetroot and tomato salad can be not just a delicious snack, but also serve as the basis for homemade borscht.

Wash and peel vegetables.

Grate beets, apples and carrots on a coarse grater. Cut the onion into thin half rings. Finely chop the tomatoes. Transfer all chopped vegetables to a saucepan with a thick bottom, add sunflower oil, salt and sugar. Simmer vegetables over low heat for 1 hour.

Finally add vinegar, stir and remove from heat.

Wash and sterilize jars for rolling lettuce, boil the lids. Arrange the hot salad in the jars, roll them up with the seamer. Cool the jars under a blanket at room temperature. Store the salad in a cool dry place.
