Beetroot and apple salad for the winter

Beet-based harvesting will help to replenish the range of winter seams and diversify the diet in winter. We advise you to prepare a salad of beets, apples and carrots for the winter. Vinegar is not added in the process, which for some may be a definite plus.

Peel the onion, cut into thin half rings. Pour odorless vegetable oil into the pan, fry the onion rings until transparent. Add carrots and beets to the onion in the pan, mix.

After 5 min. rub sweet and sour apples on a coarse grater, after removing the seed boxes and peel. Add apples to the pan, fry a little. Pour in salt, granulated sugar, pour in water. Simmer until tender for 1 hour 45 minutes, if desired, this time can be extended.

Arrange the beetroot and apple salad in prepared clean jars, tighten with screw caps or roll up with a wrench. Cool gently to room temperature by turning the seams over and covering with a blanket to prevent the cans from bursting. The salad is stored for about 1 year.
