Broccoli and shrimp salad

Broccoli is very beneficial for your health. Shrimp contain important trace minerals. The dressing made from natural fermented milk products will not add extra inches at the waist and will help digestion. The salad turns out to be not only tasty, but also fully complies with the principles of proper nutrition. For lovers of seafood and a healthy lifestyle, this is an excellent dish.

We prepare products for the salad: we wash broccoli, onions (it is better if it is a red variety for salads), we peel, we wash and dry the peppers.

We disassemble the broccoli into individual inflorescences. Bring the water in a saucepan to a boil, add some salt. Dip broccoli inflorescences into boiling water and boil the cabbage for 5-7 minutes at a boil of medium intensity. After boiling with a slotted spoon, take out the broccoli and put it in a bowl of ice water. This temperature contrast will ensure that the rich green remains intact.

Rinse the frozen shrimp with hot water to thaw the ice glaze. Place the shrimp in a bowl and pour boiling water over it. Let the shrimp cook until the water is warm.

Cut the red onion into thin semicircles. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and spread the onion. Fry over medium heat until the onions are soft and lightly browned. Remove the frying pan from the stove and remove the onion on a separate plate, letting the onion cool.

In the same skillet in which the onions were fried, prepare the peppers. Add some oil, heat it up, add whole peppers. Fry until crisp on all sides, turn off the stove. Cover with a lid and leave on the off stove for a few minutes - the peppers will damp and it will be easier to remove the top skin.

We process the cooled peppers: remove the stalk and seed capsule and remove the skin. Cut the pulp into small pieces. Strain the shrimp from the liquid. Cut the broccoli into smaller pieces.

To prepare the dressing, mix feta cheese and natural yogurt in a small chopper bowl. Salting is not worth it, since the feta cheese is already salted. Please note that if you make such a dressing in advance and let it stand in the refrigerator for several hours, it will thicken and become more textured. The dense dressing (see photo) can be used not only for salad, but also as a sandwich mass.

Put broccoli pieces, sautéed onion, shrimp and red pepper in a salad bowl.

Gently mix all the ingredients, trying not to crush pieces of tender broccoli, and fill with the resulting dressing.
