Chicken salad with prunes and walnuts

Chicken meat, and especially breast, goes well with prunes, and together with walnuts, eggs and fresh cucumbers makes the original taste of the salad. This salad can be prepared in layers or mixed in one dish - however you like.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
First, prepare all the necessary ingredients for the salad. Instead of fillet, you can put other chicken meat in salad, only without bone. Take prunes black and preferably with a stone.
step 2 out of 8
Cook in salted water until chicken is tender. Chill it and cut into small cubes.
step 3 out of 8
Fry the peeled walnuts for a few minutes in a dry skillet to remove the bitterness from them. Then remove the husks and chop the nuts in any way: using a knife or rolling pin.
step 4 out of 8
Boil chicken eggs, cool them, peel them and cut into medium cubes.
step 5 out of 8
Wash fresh cucumbers and remove the skin if it tastes bitter. Then chop the cucumbers into small cubes.
step 6 out of 8
Pour boiling water over the prunes for 10-15 minutes to make it soft. Then drain the water and dry it a little. Also chop the prunes into small cubes.
step 7 out of 8
Transfer all chopped foods to a salad bowl. Sprinkle them with salt to your liking and add the right amount of mayonnaise. Stir the salad gently.
step 8 out of 8
Decorate the prepared salad beautifully, decorate with herbs and nuts and serve.

Bon Appetit!
