Sweet yeast pie with cherries

Tea drinking with such a cake will please the whole family. The baking turns out to be very beautiful: a bright filling hidden behind a ruddy glossy lattice of airy dough, a crispy crust and tender crumb. Such a cake is tasty both immediately after baking, and also on the second day. The dough does not stale, but the juiciness is preserved thanks to the cherries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Knead the dough: pour warm milk into a bowl, crush yeast into it, mix until dissolved, leave for fifteen minutes to activate the yeast. Add one egg, granulated sugar, melted butter to the resulting mixture, mix. Add the sifted flour in parts, knead the elastic shaped dough. We make a ball out of dough. We put it in a bowl and put it in a warm place for an hour and a half to two hours for proofing. Divide the matched dough into two unequal parts.
step 2 out of 7
Grease the cake pan with vegetable oil. We roll out most of the dough into a layer and put it in a mold. Sprinkle with starch.
step 3 out of 7
Put the prepared pitted cherries on the dough. Raise the edges of the dough and pinch.
step 4 out of 7
Sprinkle the cherries with sugar and the rest of the starch.
step 5 out of 7
Roll the remaining dough into a thin layer and cut out the strips. With the resulting strips, lay out the lattice on the cherry. Lubricate the dough with a beaten egg.
step 6 out of 7
We put the cake pan in an oven preheated to 200 degrees, bake for about an hour until golden brown. We take out the pastries from the oven and immediately sprinkle with powdered sugar.
step 7 out of 7
Let the cake cool, cut into slices and serve.
Bon Appetit!
