Cooking process

step 1 out of 8
It is better to choose sour apples for charlotte - they will give a pleasant sourness, you get a good combination with sweet dough. If the apples are sweet, you can sprinkle them with lemon juice.
step 2 out of 8
Let's start cooking: wash the apples, peel them, cut them into halves, remove the core. Shred apples into small pieces 5-8 mm thick.
step 3 out of 8
In a deep bowl, using a mixer at high speed, beat the eggs with sugar until they increase in volume by 2-2.5 times (about 5-7 minutes).
step 4 out of 8
Sift flour and add baking powder and vanillin to it. If you use baking soda instead of baking powder in the recipe, add it to the sour cream.
step 5 out of 8
Next, add sour cream to the dough and mix well.
step 6 out of 8
Grease the baking dish with butter, then pour 1/3 of the dough on the bottom of the mold and put half of the apples on top. If you wish, the apples can be sprinkled with cinnamon, it will give the baked goods a great aroma and accentuate the taste of apples.
step 7 out of 8
Cover the apples with 1/3 of the dough, put the other half of the apples on the dough and cover them with the remaining dough.
step 8 out of 8
We put the charlotte to bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Let the finished charlotte cool, take it out of the mold onto a dish and serve. Bon Appetit!
