Fish kebab on skewers on the grill

Shish kebab can be prepared not only from meat, but also from fish. This alternative will appeal to those who like light dishes, but at the same time hearty. In this case, we cook carp kebab, but any other fish will do. The main thing is that it is fat enough. And, of course, it is important to remove all bones from the fillet.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Carefully wash the carp, clean it from the scales, cut the abdomen and remove all the insides and films. Cut off the head, tail and fins. Next, we cut the fish along the ridge into two parts. Gently pull the ridge and adjacent thin bones. It is convenient to use fine forceps to remove the remaining bones. Dry the resulting fillet with a paper towel. Cut the fillet into small pieces three to four centimeters thick. Place the sliced fish in a deep bowl.
step 2 out of 5
Peel the onions, rinse and dry. We cut it into thin semicircles, which we then press with our hands until the juice is released. Wash the dill, dry it and chop it finely with a knife. Squeeze juice from lemon. Put onion, chopped herbs and lemon juice in a bowl with the fish. Add salt and black pepper. Mix everything together with your hands so that the marinade evenly covers the fish. Tighten the bowl with cling film and leave the carp to marinate for one hour.
step 3 out of 5
After pickling, string the fish pieces on skewers. We do this so that the pieces do not hang down, but are evenly spaced on the skewer.
step 4 out of 5
We prepare the brazier. The coals must be smoldering; open flames are not allowed. We send skewers with fish to the grill. We cook the kebab for about fifteen to twenty minutes, remembering to turn it over for even frying and browning.
step 5 out of 5
We shift the finished shish kebab from the grill to a serving dish. Serve hot, accompanied by fresh vegetables.
Bon Appetit!
