Oven chicken breast schnitzel

You can also cook chicken breast schnitzel in the oven. This will avoid the frying process with shooting oil. In addition, the finished product will be less high in calories. For extra juiciness, we recommend sprinkling the schnitzels with grated cheese before roasting. It will melt and form a moist layer on the surface of the chops, but at the same time give a nice golden brown crust. By the way, the higher the fat content of hard cheese, the more tender and creamy it forms.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
We free the chicken breast from the skin, cut out the bones, cartilage and excess films. Dry the resulting fillet with a paper towel. We cut the breasts lengthwise into thin plates, trying to make the cut even. Place the meat on a cutting board, cover with cling film to protect it from splashes and beat off with a kitchen hammer on both sides. When beating, it is desirable to achieve a uniformly processed surface - this way the finished schnitzels will have an attractive shape. Then sprinkle the chops with salt and black pepper to taste.
step 2 out of 7
In a shallow bowl, shake the eggs with a fork or whisk until smooth. We add lightly so that the breadcrust in the finished schnitzels is not bland.
step 3 out of 7
Pour flour into another flat plate. In the third - bread crumbs. First, roll each chop in flour, then completely immerse it in a liquid egg mass, then sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
step 4 out of 7
Grease a baking tray with butter. This will add an extra delicate, creamy flavor to the dish. We lay breaded schnitzels on the prepared surface.
step 5 out of 7
Rub hard cheese on a coarse grater. Sprinkle each schnitzel with grated cheese, trying to avoid getting the cheese shavings on the baking sheet so that it does not melt and burn ahead of time.
step 6 out of 7
Preheat the oven to 210 degrees. We put a baking sheet with schnitzels on the middle level of an already hot oven. We bake for about twenty minutes. As soon as the surface of the schnitzels is well reddened, we take them out.
step 7 out of 7
We transfer hot schnitzels from a baking sheet to a dish and immediately serve to the table until they are as juicy and aromatic as possible. This dish goes well with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Bon Appetit!
