Cherries and chocolate are always a winning combination. No wonder they are so often combined in cooking when preparing desserts. Now you will learn how to do this by cooking dumplings, in which the sourness of the cherry is perfectly set off by the taste of dark chocolate.
Ingredients
Cooking process
Beat eggs into a deep bowl, then pour warm water. Mix with a fork. Then add the seeded cocoa powder, sugar, salt and olive oil. Stir well and gradually start adding the sifted flour. When the dough gathers into a lump and stops sticking to the sides of the bowl in which you knead it, transfer it to a floured work surface and knead well with your hands.
Half an hour after you left the dough to "rest", start rolling it out. Divide it into several parts and roll each one in turn into a thin layer (no more than 3mm thick). Remember to dust the work surface with flour to prevent the dough from sticking. Then cut out circles from the rolled dough. It is convenient to do this with a mug or glass with a straight edge.
Place 2-3 cherries on each of the resulting circles, depending on their size. Then sprinkle with sugar and mold the dumpling, squeezing the edges of the dough firmly so that cherry juice does not leak through the unconnected areas during cooking. Place the blinded dumplings on a floured board or plate.
When all the dumplings are prepared, bring the water in a saucepan to a boil. Salt a little and dip the dumplings into it. It is better to cook them in small portions so that they do not stick together. 1-2 minutes after the dumplings float to the surface, you can get them out of the water with a slotted spoon. This will get rid of excess liquid that can be captured by removing them with some other device. Serve hot cherry dumplings with honey.
