Pour cocoa powder with hot water, stir, cover with foil and let cool to room temperature.

Mix soft butter with granulated sugar. Then beat in the eggs one at a time, after each mix well.

Add the diluted cooled cocoa to the resulting mass.

Mix flour with baking powder and salt, sift through a sieve, add half to the mass obtained earlier.

Add sour cream, mix thoroughly, add the second part of the flour mixture and mix everything well again.

Chop the walnuts with a knife, add to the dough along with the vanilla extract. Stir gently to spread the nuts evenly over the dough.
