Beef shulum on a fire in a cauldron

Shulum at the stake is a favorite dish of nomadic peoples and hunters. In field conditions, the soup is cooked over a fire in a cauldron. Now this dish can be a good option for a picnic in nature.

Wash vegetables and herbs. Cut everything into medium sized cubes. Wash the meat and cut into large pieces.

Put the cauldron on the fire, heat the vegetable oil in it. Fry the meat until golden brown. Then pour in the water, add the onion and cook the meat, covered, for 50-60 minutes.

When the meat is done, add the carrots and bell peppers.

After 15 minutes, add the chopped potatoes. After another 10-15 minutes, season the shulum.
