Whole mackerel in foil on a grill on the grill

A very simple way to grill mackerel is to peel it, season it with salt and a fish spice mixture, add a piece of butter and wrap it in foil. The taste of mackerel itself is very rich, so the task of this method is simply to preserve it and emphasize it from the best side.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We clean the mackerel of entrails, tails and fins. Cut off the head. We wash the carcasses with running water and dry them with paper towels outside and inside.
step 2 out of 5
Cut off pieces of foil for each fish. The size of the foil sheets should be such that the mackerel can be wrapped securely and that the inner juices do not leak out. We put the prepared fish on the foil.
step 3 out of 5
Sprinkle with salt and fish spice mixture. Rub the spices with our hands over the entire surface and along the inner cavity. Cut the butter into portions and add a piece to each fish. We wrap the mackerel in foil.
step 4 out of 5
Place the foil-wrapped mackerel on a wire rack and bake on the grill on both sides until tender. Depending on the size of the fish, the baking process will take thirty to forty minutes.
step 5 out of 5
Transfer the finished mackerel from the wire rack to the dish, open the foil. Serve hot with fresh herbs and fresh vegetable salad.
Bon Appetit!
