Sweet apricot sauce for pancakes for the winter

Many families associate Sunday morning with pancakes for breakfast. And to make them diverse, you can experiment not only with the pancakes themselves (in milk, kefir), but also with sauces for them. In this recipe, you are invited to make a sweet and sour apricot sauce.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Go through and wash the apricots. For the sauce, it is better to use ripe and soft fruits. Divide each fruit in half, with your hands or with a knife. Remove the bones.
step 2 out of 5
Pour water into a deep saucepan, transfer the prepared apricots into it and place on the stove. Cook the apricots over low heat until softened. Then use a slotted spoon to remove the apricots from the water, transfer them to a plate and cool. Pour the water into a mug, we may need it to regulate the thickness of the sauce.
step 3 out of 5
Rub the softened apricots through a sieve.
step 4 out of 5
Return the resulting apricot puree to the saucepan, add sugar there, stir and bring to a boil over low heat. If you see that the sauce is very thick, then you can add a little water in which the apricots were boiled.
step 5 out of 5
Spread the prepared sauce hot in small jars, which must first be sterilized. Otherwise, there is a high probability that the sauce will not last until winter. Tightly tighten also with sterilized caps. Store it in a cool and dark place (pantry, refrigerator, cellar).
