Sour cream for flattening the cake

There is a misconception that sour cream is liquid and unsuitable for leveling cakes. I want to dispel such doubts and share with you a recipe for an incredibly delicate thick cream based on sour cream, which is great for leveling cakes, as well as decorating any pastries and desserts made from fruits and berries.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
First of all, take the required amount of good quality fat sour cream. An important condition is that the sour cream must be fresh. Cover the container with a clean kitchen towel and then pour the sour cream into it.
step 2 out of 7
Spread the sour cream evenly over the entire surface.
step 3 out of 7
Cover the sour cream with the loose edges of the towel.
step 4 out of 7
Place a fine sieve in a deep container, and then put a towel with sour cream in it.
step 5 out of 7
Fold the loose edges of the towel well, and place a saucer on top of them. The load can be placed on top. A jar of water can be used as a load. Place the resulting structure in the refrigerator overnight.
step 6 out of 7
Then put the weighed sour cream in a deep container. Add the required amount of caster sugar.
step 7 out of 7
Mix thoroughly with a silicone spatula until smooth. If you want to get a more airy consistency of the cream, use a mixer. Use the finished cream to flatten the cakes.

Bon Appetit!
