Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We carefully sort out the red currant berries and separate them from the branches, trying not to deform them.
step 2 out of 6
Then we thoroughly rinse the sorted currants and discard them in a colander in order to get rid of excess liquid.
step 3 out of 6
Pour the prepared berries into a deep container, or better in a saucepan with a thick bottom and crush with any suitable object until puree.
step 4 out of 6
Pour cold water here and send the contents to the fire. From the moment of boiling, cook the contents for about 30 minutes.
step 5 out of 6
Then we pass the berries with syrup through a sieve, trying to separate the cake from the liquid itself as best as possible. After that, pour granulated sugar into the resulting homogeneous juice, stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
step 6 out of 6
Pour boiling red currant juice into jars and roll them up with lids using a kitchen key. Juice storage jars can be sterilized or simply rinsed thoroughly. Before sending the juice for storage, it must be cooled by wrapping it in a blanket.
Enjoy your meal!
