Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
We will prepare all the necessary ingredients that will be needed in the preparation of the juice. To begin with, we will measure the required amount of ingredients in order to comply with all proportions. Then we thoroughly wash the fruits of the berries, dry them, while leaving them on the branches.
step 2 out of 7
We transfer the washed berries to a deep container and crush with any suitable object. The simplest option is a rolling pin.
step 3 out of 7
When the berries began to let juice, add a little anise to them. It leaves behind an incredibly pleasant aftertaste.
step 4 out of 7
Pour purified water into a saucepan with berries and anise and send the contents over a small fire. Cook the juice for about 30 minutes. Then turn off the fire and infuse the broth for 3-4 hours, covering it with a lid. This time is more than enough for the drink to be saturated with the aroma of the berry.
step 5 out of 7
After this time, we pass the liquid with berries through a sieve to separate the red currants from the juice itself.
step 6 out of 7
Pour granulated sugar into a saucepan with berry broth, stir thoroughly and send to heat over low heat. In 20-30 minutes, the juice will be finally ready.
step 7 out of 7
For a long and comfortable storage of the workpiece, we sterilize the jars with lids in any convenient way and then fill them with hot currant juice. After cooling to room temperature, we send it to storage in a cool place.
We wish you a good mood and bon appetit!
