Pumpkin and apple and orange juice for the winter

We offer you a recipe for an amazing tasty and aromatic pumpkin-apple juice with orange peel. In the process of cooking, we puree the pumpkin, so we get the juice with the pulp. At the end of the heat treatment, we add a little ground cinnamon to the juice, which perfectly matches the taste of pumpkin and orange peel and gives the juice an amazing Christmas flavor. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste, it will depend on the taste of apples and pumpkin used in the cooking process.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
To harvest the juice, it is necessary to choose a ripe pumpkin variety, which has a bright orange color - a tasty juice is obtained from it, while light pumpkin varieties can be bitter and give the juice a not very pleasant taste. We wash the pumpkin under running water, dry it with a towel and cut off the amount we need. We clean the pumpkin from the peel and seeds, cut into small pieces. Pour water into a deep saucepan, put on medium heat and put pumpkin in it. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer pumpkin until tender. Then remove the pan from the heat and let the mass cool down a little.
step 2 out of 4
We wash the apples under running water, put them on a kitchen towel and let them dry from the water. Then we cut them in half, remove the stem and core. We pass the apples through a juicer, and the resulting juice is sent to the pan. We put the pan on the fire and heat the juice. Then add pumpkin mashed through a sieve, sugar and chopped orange zest to the pan. We mix everything well and taste the juice, after which we add the required amount of sugar to it, to your taste.
step 3 out of 4
Cook the juice over low heat, periodically removing the resulting foam, and at the end of cooking add ground cinnamon to the juice.
step 4 out of 4
Pour the ready hot juice into sterilized jars, seal with boiled lids and leave to cool completely at room temperature. Then we store the juice in a cool dark place.
