Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
For the preparation of the juice, we have chosen the butternut pumpkin, it has a beautiful rich orange color and a sweetish taste. We rinse it under running water, dry it with a towel and cut off the amount we need. We clean the pumpkin from the peel and seeds, cut into small cubes. Put the pumpkin in a deep saucepan and fill it with water. Put the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. After the water in the pan has boiled, reduce the heat and boil the pumpkin until soft.
step 2 out of 5
Add freshly squeezed lemon juice or half a teaspoon of citric acid to the pan and boil for another 5-10 minutes.
step 3 out of 5
Remove the pot with the pumpkin mass from the heat, let it cool slightly, then puree the pumpkin until smooth with an immersion blender.
step 4 out of 5
We wash the apples under running water, put them on a kitchen towel and let them dry from the water. Then we cut the apples in half, remove the stem and core. Cut the apples into 4-6 pieces depending on the hole in the juicer and pass them through the juicer. Filter the resulting apple juice through cheesecloth folded into 4-6 layers. Add the finished apple juice to the pumpkin puree in a saucepan. Stir and taste the juice, then add the required amount of sugar. Mix again and put the juice on the fire. Bring it to a boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
step 5 out of 5
We pour hot juice into pre-sterilized bottles, you can use glass bottles from store juice. We seal the bottles tightly with boiled lids and leave to cool completely at room temperature. Then we remove the juice for storage in a dark, cool place.
