Salted mackerel with vinegar and onions at home

If you have fresh frozen mackerel, I suggest using an excellent recipe and preparing an incredibly mouth-watering, aromatic and tasty fish. The snack platter will look great on any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Peel freshly frozen mackerel from fins, heads, carefully remove the entrails and films.
step 2 out of 6
Rinse the prepared mackerel under running water, and then dry with paper towels and cut into small pieces of the same size and put in a container.
step 3 out of 6
Peel the onions and garlic, cut the onions into rings, thin garlic slices. Place on mackerel.
step 4 out of 6
In a separate container, combine table vinegar, vegetable oil, add coarse salt, granulated sugar and ground coriander. Mix well and cover with cold water.
step 5 out of 6
Pour the fish with fully cooked marinade, add bay leaf and allspice, cover with a plate, put the load and place in the refrigerator for a day.
step 6 out of 6
After the time has elapsed, remove the mackerel from the brine and place on a plate, serve with onions and fresh herbs.

Enjoy a delicious snack!
