Solyanka with cabbage and potatoes is a dish made from affordable and inexpensive products that is not difficult to prepare. A great way to feed a family during fasting. Solyanka turns out to be fragrant and satisfying.

Peel white cabbage from dirty sheets, rinse and dry if necessary. Chop into thin strips. Preheat a skillet, add some vegetable oil and sauté the chopped cabbage.

Peel and finely chop the onions. Wash the carrots, peel, grate on a coarse grater. Heat a second skillet, add a little oil, add prepared vegetables and fry until half cooked. Add tomato paste, stir well and simmer for 15 minutes. Combine the roasted cabbage and simmer together.

Wash and peel the potatoes, cut into strips and place with the cabbage. Mix everything well. Close the lid. Ten minutes before cooking, pour in vinegar, add granulated sugar, salt and pepper, mix thoroughly.
