Solyanka for the winter without mushrooms

Solyanka for the winter without mushrooms is a unique preparation that can be used both as an independent dish and for dressing cabbage soup, borscht and soups, and even as a filling for pies. Solyanka is prepared from affordable and inexpensive products, but at the same time it turns out to be very tasty and aromatic.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Wash vegetables under water and peel. Cut the onions and carrots into strips or use a food processor. If you do not have a combine, you will have to cut by hand, and it will take much longer.
step 2 out of 6
Take a heavy-bottomed saucepan and lay out the prepared vegetables. Add half a glass of water, salt, pour in vegetable oil, mix thoroughly. Put on fire and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
step 3 out of 6
Bring the tomatoes to a puree consistency using a blender. Send to a saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes.
step 4 out of 6
Chop white cabbage and bell peppers. Place in a saucepan, add allspice peas and bay leaf. Pour in granulated sugar, mix thoroughly.
step 5 out of 6
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 40 minutes. If the liquid has boiled away ahead of time, add a little water.
step 6 out of 6
While the hodgepodge is cooking, wash and sterilize the jars and lids. It is most convenient to take jars with screw caps for seaming. Spread the hot hodgepodge in sterile jars and twist. Turn the cans upside down, wrap them in a blanket and leave to cool. Put the finished hodgepodge in a cool place.

Bon Appetit!
