Solyanka is not a simple favorite dish in many families. A hearty, rich first course is a great start to any meal, filling and warming up the appetite. Village-style solyanka with potatoes is prepared quite quickly and simply from the available ingredients.

Peel the potatoes, cut into small cubes.

Peel the onion and chop finely.

Peel and grate the carrots.

Pour water into a saucepan, put it on fire, bring to a boil over medium heat. Add potatoes, cook for about 15 minutes.

Cut the pickles into medium cubes.

Cut the sausages (in our case) into circles.

Finely chop the ham.

Preheat a frying pan, pour vegetable oil into it. Pour onions into it, fry until transparent, then add carrots and different types of meat to it, simmer for 5 minutes. Then add tomato paste, one scoop of boiling water, pickles to the pan. Mix everything gently and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.

When the potatoes are cooked, add the prepared frying to it, mix. Add bay leaves to the soup, salt and pepper everything if necessary. Cook the soup for 10 minutes. then turn off the heat and let the hodgepodge brew for about 15 minutes.
