Solyanka with sausage

A thick, full-bodied first course, perfect for a family meal. There are a huge number of different recipes for hodgepodge. I recommend preparing a budget version of the sausage hodgepodge.

Fill a pot of cold water. Put on fire. Boil water.

Wash the potatoes thoroughly, peel them. Cut into cubes, place in a boiling pot.

Wash the carrots, peel and grate on a coarse grater.

Peel the onion. Cut the vegetable into half rings or cubes.

Cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes.
