Tkemali sauce at home

The most delicious tkemali sauce is one made with your own hands from cherry plum or plum grown in the garden. Spicy herbs and pleasant pungency will perfectly complement a meat dish.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Wash the cherry plum well and put it in a deep basin. Slightly crush the berry with a pusher so that it gives juice.
step 2 out of 7
Put the saucepan with cherry plum to simmer for 20 minutes after boiling, stirring occasionally.
step 3 out of 7
Rub the cooked berries through a sieve, removing the skin and bones.
step 4 out of 7
Peel the garlic, put it in a blender. Wash the pepper, remove the seeds, cut into several pieces and add to the garlic together with the seasoning. Wash the herbs, cut into large pieces and place in a bowl and twist.
step 5 out of 7
Return the cherry plum puree to the saucepan and cook for 10 minutes over low heat.
step 6 out of 7
Pour sugar, salt, spice paste into it and cook for another 10 minutes.
step 7 out of 7
Divide hot tkemali into prepared sterile jars and seal. Leave the sauce to cool for 6 hours or longer, cover with a towel.

Bon Appetit!
