Classic chicken kharcho soup with rice

For lovers of homemade light soups, I suggest using a simple recipe and preparing kharcho according to the classic recipe with chicken and rice. For the preparation of kharcho, available and inexpensive ingredients are used. The process of preparing the dish will not take much of your time, and the result will be a delicious lunch.

Wash the chicken meat well in running water. Cut large pieces into pieces of the same size.

Place the washed chicken in a deep saucepan. Fill with cold water. Put the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, periodically removing the resulting foam with a slotted spoon or fine sieve. Reduce heat and simmer chicken for 20-25 minutes.

Measure out the required amount of rice, rinse it under cold water several times until clear water to get rid of excess starch.

Add the washed rice to the meat, season with salt, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook for about 10-15 minutes.

Wash the carrots and peel them with a vegetable peeler. Cut the peeled carrots into large strips. Peel the onions, rinse and cut into small cubes.

Peel the garlic, rinse, then chop with a sharp knife or pass through a press.

Heat the pan well over high heat, add a little butter, add chopped onions and carrots, fry until softened, stirring occasionally.
