The recipe is dedicated to lovers of pickled beets. To prepare an appetizer, it is advisable to select the most red and juicy beets, the taste of the finished product directly depends on this.

Sort the beets and wash. Pour water into a saucepan, bring to a boil. Put the beets there after boiling, cook for half an hour. Place vegetables on a plate and let cool. Next, peel the beets and cut into rings. Fold the root vegetable into sterilized jars.

Pour boiling water into the jars little by little so that the glass does not burst. Let the workpiece stand, then pour the water into a saucepan.

Put sugar, salt, peppercorns, bay leaf there. Bring the marinade to a boil, add vinegar, stir and cook for 1 minute. Remove from stove. Pour marinade into jars with prepared beets, black peppercorns and bay leaves evenly spread over the jars.

Tighten the jars tightly with screw caps and allow to cool in a warm place. When the workpieces have reached room temperature, move them to a dark basement.
