Cheese cakes with sour milk

Such tortillas are a great alternative to the usual bread. They can be served with any soup for greater satiety and additional taste, with vegetable stews, as well as tea or coffee. To add juiciness, after frying, grease the surface of the cakes with butter. You can also wrap any fillings in such a cake, like in lavash, and take it with you for a snack - it is very convenient, satisfying and tasty.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 10
To prepare the dough, heat the sour milk until warm. Putting milk in a bowl
step 2 out of 10
Add salt and granulated sugar to a bowl of milk, mix with a whisk.
step 3 out of 10
Pour in baking soda, stir and let stand for three to four minutes so that the soda is extinguished.
step 4 out of 10
Rub hard cheese (by the way, sausage cheese is also well suited). Pour the resulting cheese shavings into a bowl with milk, mix.
step 5 out of 10
Finally, add the sifted flour and knead the dough. First, we work with a spoon, and then we move on to manual kneading.
step 6 out of 10
The dough should be soft, but keep its shape well. The mass should not stick to your hands.
step 7 out of 10
Divide the dough into portions. The serving size depends on the size of the cake you want. We roll each part of the dough into a bun.
step 8 out of 10
Sprinkle the working surface with flour and roll out portions of the dough on it with a rolling pin into thin cakes. The approximate thickness is two to three millimeters.
step 9 out of 10
Heat the pan until hot on the stove. The plate temperature is medium-low. It is not necessary to grease the pan with oil, since we will fry on a dry surface. In a hot frying pan, lay out the rolled flat cakes one by one. Fry them for two to three minutes on each side until golden brown. The crust will not brown evenly, but in separate "islands". Small bubbles will appear on the surface.
step 10 out of 10
Remove the finished cakes from the pan and transfer to a serving plate. We stack them in a pile on top of each other. Immediately after frying, grease the cakes with butter - this way they become richer in taste and noticeably juicier. We serve hot cakes to the table. After cooling, they can be warmed up - the flat cakes do not lose their taste and properties.

Bon Appetit!
