If you want to please your loved ones, be sure to prepare a kurnik. For cooking chicken, I most often use dough prepared according to this recipe. The dough, cooked on kefir without butter, turns out to be unusually tender and soft.

Sift half the required amount of wheat flour and baking soda previously sifted through a fine sieve into a deep container, add salt and mix thoroughly. Gradually pour in kefir at room temperature and stir.

Break the chicken egg into a small container and whisk until smooth. Insert the beaten egg into the dough and mix well.

Sift the other half of the wheat flour into the resulting dough. Stir and then knead well, put into a ball, place in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.

Wash the potatoes well, peel them with a peeler, and then boil until half cooked in salted water, then cool and cut into small pieces.

Peel the onions, rinse in cool water, and then chop finely. Fry until soft in a little vegetable oil.

Chicken meat - chicken breast or chicken thigh fillet, wash well, pat dry with paper towels, then cut into thin slices.

Heat a deep frying pan over medium heat, add a little vegetable oil. Lay out the sliced ​​chicken meat, stirring constantly, fry for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir.

Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Divide the rested dough into 2 parts, roll each part with a rolling pin into an even rectangular layer about 1 centimeter thick. Place on a baking sheet. Put half of the potatoes on the dough.
