Dough on kefir without eggs for chicken poultry

In ancient times in Russia, kurnik was an adornment of any festive celebration. Kurnik is a delicious homemade pastry stuffed with chicken meat. Today I propose to use the recipe and make the dough on kefir without eggs for the chicken. The dough is soft and elastic.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Melt butter at room temperature in a water bath or in the microwave. Then add the required amount of kefir at room temperature. Mix thoroughly until smooth using a whisk.
step 2 out of 6
Sift the required amount of wheat flour and baking soda into a separate deep container using a fine sieve, add salt and mix well. Then pour in the prepared liquid ingredients and mix thoroughly.
step 3 out of 6
Put the dough on a clean work surface of the table, knead well, collect in a lump, place in a plastic bag and put it in the refrigerator for about 20-25 minutes.
step 4 out of 6
While the dough is resting in the refrigerator, prepare the fragrant filling. Divide the chilled dough into two parts, roll each part with a rolling pin into an even circle about 5-7 millimeters thick.
step 5 out of 6
Place the prepared filling in the center of the rolled dough and distribute it evenly. Gently pinch the edges of the dough. Form a decor from the remains of the dough.
step 6 out of 6
Place the kurnik in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake until a uniform golden crust. The dough on kefir without using eggs can be used not only for cooking chicken, but also for other homemade baked goods.

Bon Appetit!
