The best addition to this dish is fresh vegetables and herbs.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 11
Wash chicken liver in running water, remove films, vessels and veins. We leave the pieces of liver in their entirety, do not grind. If the liver is large, it can be cut in two. Peel the onions, wash them and dry them. We do the same with carrots.
step 2 out of 11
Peel the potatoes, rinse and dry.
step 3 out of 11
Chop the onion into small cubes with a knife. Rub the carrots on a coarse grater.
step 4 out of 11
Pour a small amount of vegetable oil into a saucepan, heat it until hot and lay out the prepared chicken liver.
step 5 out of 11
Fry the liver for four to five minutes until the color changes. The plate temperature is medium-high. At the end, add salt and black pepper, mix.
step 6 out of 11
Add prepared chopped onions and carrots to the liver.
step 7 out of 11
Stir everything together and continue to fry for another five to seven minutes. The vegetables should soften.
step 8 out of 11
Cut the peeled potatoes into small pieces and put them in a saucepan on the liver with vegetables. No need to stir. Pour in hot water in such an amount that it reaches the top layer of the potatoes. Sprinkle with salt on top and close the lid. Bring water to a boil and simmer for ten minutes.
step 9 out of 11
After the specified time has elapsed, open the lid, mix the contents and simmer for another ten minutes so that the potatoes are fully cooked.
step 10 out of 11
Remove the finished dish from the stove and leave it under the lid to brew for another ten to fifteen minutes.
step 11 out of 11
Put the finished liver with potatoes on portioned plates and serve hot. Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving, accompany with vegetables.
Bon Appetit!
