Easter cottage cheese 500 gr. curd

We offer you a very simple, but no less delicious recipe for cottage cheese Easter, in which the neutral taste of cottage cheese is complemented by bright orange notes, due to the use of zest and jam. And the delicate structure of Easter is complemented by a poppy. Try it - it's a mind-blowing combination.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Place poppy seeds in a bowl and cover them with boiling water. Leave them to swell for half an hour. Then fold the poppy seeds onto a sieve, let all excess liquid drain and then mash the poppy seeds in a mortar or grind with a blender.
step 2 out of 9
Place cottage cheese and sour cream in a deep container and mix. Use dairy products with the highest fat content you can find, and it's best to get homemade ones. At this stage, you do not need to wipe the cottage cheese through a sieve, since in the future, we will punch the mass with an immersion blender. Add softened butter, chopped candied orange fruits and orange jam to the curd with sour cream.
step 3 out of 9
Using a submersible blender, grind all the ingredients until the curd mass becomes homogeneous.
step 4 out of 9
Add poppy seeds to the prepared curd mass and stir. The basis for Easter is ready, it remains to shape it.
step 5 out of 9
Collect the bowl and place it on a deep plate, into which excess liquid will subsequently drain. Dampen the cheesecloth, fold it in several layers and line it with a mold. Try not to get creases and folds, otherwise the Easter look will be sloppy. Leave the edges of the gauze hanging from the outside of the mold.
step 6 out of 9
Place the prepared curd mass in the paste box. Shake it several times so that there are no voids in the next Easter.
step 7 out of 9
Cover the curd mass with the hanging edges of the gauze. On top, place a plate or saucer on which to place the load. Put this structure in the refrigerator for a day. Change the plate under the bowl periodically while draining the whey.
step 8 out of 9
After 24 hours, remove the finished Easter from the refrigerator. Remove the weight, unscrew the edges of the cheesecloth and place the Easter pan on a plate with the wide side down. Then disassemble the plastic sides of the mold and carefully remove the gauze.
step 9 out of 9
Decorate the Easter cottage cheese as you wish. For Easter with orange notes and poppy seeds, decorating with orange and poppy seeds will also be very relevant.
Bon Appetit!
