Duck slices with potatoes in the oven

If a duck is available, but you don’t want to "trick" and bother for a long time in the kitchen, we offer a simple recipe for this case. Cut the poultry into pieces and grease with mayonnaise-based marinade. We also cut potatoes and onions into pieces. We put everything together in a baking sleeve and send to the oven. An hour later, you can serve a delicious hot dish: juicy pieces of duck with a side dish of aromatic tender potatoes.

Peel the potatoes, rinse and cut into small pieces of arbitrary shape.

Free the onions from the husks, wash, dry and cut into thin half rings.

Thoroughly clean the duck carcass, rinse and cut into small portions. Cut off excess fat so that the finished dish is not too greasy.

Cooking the marinade. In a separate container, mix mayonnaise, black pepper and chicken spice mixture. Mix everything well until smooth.

Taste the marinade. Top up with a pinch of salt if necessary.

Mix the potatoes and onions, sprinkle with salt and chicken spice mixture. Mix with your hands so that all the pieces are covered with spices. Place the mixture in the baking sleeve.

Grease each piece of duck generously with mayonnaise marinade and spread over the potato-onion mixture. After all the pieces of the bird are laid, we tie the sleeve tightly on both sides. Leave to marinate at room temperature for thirty minutes. After the marinating time has elapsed, place the sleeve on a baking sheet and set it in an oven preheated to 190 degrees. We bake for an hour and a half. The potatoes should be completely soft and the duck pieces should be golden brown. Ten to fifteen minutes before readiness, cut the sleeve on top, bend the edges and let the duck brown even more.

We take out the finished dish from the oven. We lay out the pieces of duck together with potatoes and onions on portioned plates. The best accompaniment to the dish is fresh vegetables and herbs.
