A five-minute jam is prepared not only for the sake of dessert for tea, because it is very useful due to the content of a large amount of vitamins, and with prolonged cooking they are destroyed. "Five Minute" is prepared from whole or chopped currant and gooseberry berries and is often supplemented with citrus fruits or other berries. To keep such jam well, it is important to use dry berries and sterile containers. Although these berries contain natural pectin, short cooking does not make a thick jam.

Then, with a wooden spoon, the berries are mixed with sugar until it is completely dissolved. The jam is placed on medium heat and brought to a boil with constant stirring. The foam is removed from the surface. The jam is cooked exactly 5 minutes from the beginning of the boil. For a thicker texture of the dessert (optional), cooking for 5 minutes can be repeated 1-2 more times with a break for cooling.
Delicious and successful preparations!
