Pitted apricot jam and with walnuts should be prepared according to the principle “the more nuts, the tastier”, because they go well to taste, and nuts are usually the first to be eaten in dessert. Apricots are cut into halves or wedges. This jam is cooked by the method of 4-fold boiling with a break for cooling. If you take a little unripe apricots, then the slices of the fruit will remain intact. The calculation of the ingredients in the recipe is presented for 1 liter of jam.

Prepare the calculated amount of food for cooking jam.

Rinse apricots for jam with cold water and dry a little with a towel. Then remove the seeds from them and, if desired, cut the fruits into halves.

Transfer the prepared apricots to a bowl for making jam and cover them with the calculated amount of sugar.

Then gently mix the apricots with sugar with a wooden spoon and leave overnight for the fruits to give their juice.

In the morning, boil the jam over low heat for 10 minutes from the beginning of the boil and then leave for 6 hours to cool. Then repeat the cooking for 10 minutes. Do not forget to remove the froth from the surface of the jam.

After the second cooking, cool the jam for 6 hours and boil for another 10 minutes. If your apricots are greenish, then after the third cooking they will not boil over and will remain intact.

Peel the walnuts and cut them into halves. For the best flavor, you can dry the nuts in the oven or in a dry preheated skillet.

Transfer the prepared nuts to the apricot jam and boil it for the 4th time already within 20 minutes from the start of the boil.
