Apricot jam through a meat grinder without cooking

An unusual way of making delicious apricot jam with a minimum amount of sugar and without heat treatment. We preserve the maximum of nutrients that these orange fruits are very rich in.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Ripe fruits are thoroughly washed and discarded in a colander, allowing excess water to drain.
step 2 out of 9
Next, cut the apricots in half and get rid of the seeds. If the fruits are very ripe, then this can be done without the help of a knife - simply by pressing on the fruit.
step 3 out of 9
Then we pass the ingredients through a meat grinder or grind with a blender, if as a result we want to get a completely homogeneous consistency.
step 4 out of 9
To the resulting mass, add half of the required amount of sugar - in our case, about 85 grams.
step 5 out of 9
Mix thoroughly until the crystals dissolve and send to the refrigerator for an hour. We take out and pour out the second part of the sugar, also stirring and returning to the refrigerator for a few more hours.
step 6 out of 9
Repeat mixing every few hours.
step 7 out of 9
We try to stir the mass as often as possible, because it is in frequent stirring that the secret lies - apricots are ideally combined with sugar.
step 8 out of 9
After 5-6 hours, our mixture begins to resemble jam.
step 9 out of 9
After 10-12 hours, lay out on clean sterile jars and roll up or immediately serve. Bon Appetit!
