Apricot jam with kernels and orange

The apricots, along with the kernels, are sent to the pan. Sugar and orange crushed in a blender are added to them. After 2 hours, the jam is cooked in three approaches. At the end, it is transferred to sterilized jars and closed with lids.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 9
Preparing fruits. Thoroughly wash the apricots with orange and pat dry with a paper towel.
step 2 out of 9
Cut the apricots in half and remove the pit from each.
step 3 out of 9
We split the seeds with the help of a garlic press and remove the nucleoli from them. You don't need to clean them.
step 4 out of 9
Cut the orange into large slices and remove any seeds that may have come across. Transfer to a blender bowl and grind to a state of gruel. You can also roll the orange through a meat grinder.
step 5 out of 9
We take a saucepan with a deep bottom and lay the ingredients in it in layers. First, lay out some apricots, then sprinkle them with a couple of tablespoons of granulated sugar and at the end we send part of the orange gruel. We continue to spread in this way until the fruit with sugar runs out. Cover the pan with a lid and let stand in this way for two hours, so that the orange pulp begins to exude juice.
step 6 out of 9
Put the pan on the fire and bring to a boil. Do not stir to keep the apricots intact. You can shake the container itself. Carefully remove the resulting foam so that the finished jam is transparent. After the mass boils, turn off the heat and leave it for at least 6 hours or overnight.
step 7 out of 9
We repeat the previous step. Bring to a boil, turn off the heat and let cool completely.
step 8 out of 9
For the third time, bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. We sterilize the jars in a convenient way and put the jam on them. We tighten the lids tightly.
step 9 out of 9
We turn the cans upside down, wrap them in a towel or blanket and leave until they cool completely. We put the jam in a place suitable for storage and use it to prepare various dishes or use it in its pure form. Bon Appetit!
