Cherry plum jam is often supplemented with other fruits and berries, but it is especially tasty with citrus fruits: oranges or lemons. Depending on the color of the cherry plum, your jam will be either light with a honey tint, or dark cherry. Oranges can be chopped in a blender and added to the syrup, or cut into pieces with the peel for a more pronounced flavor. Cherry plum can be cooked with a stone (in some varieties it does not separate at all) and cut some of the fruits in halves, because this fruit is quite dry.

To make the jam, choose a ripe and undamaged cherry plum, and choose the color of the fruit at your discretion.

Measure the ingredients for the jam in the amount indicated in the recipe. Rinse the cherry plums well and remove the seeds from some of the fruits to get more fruit juice.

In a separate saucepan, dissolve half the specified amount of sugar in hot water.

Transfer the prepared cherry plum to a bowl for making jam, cover with the rest of the sugar and then shake it several times so that the sugar covers the entire cherry plum. Leave the cherry plum in the sugar for 1 hour. During this time, she will give her juice.

Rinse the oranges well under hot water and then cut into small pieces along with the peel.

A saucepan with dissolved sugar, put on fire and boil the syrup for a few minutes.

Pour cherry plum with hot syrup, add chopped oranges to it, stir with a wooden spoon and boil the jam for 5 minutes from the beginning of the boil, removing the foam from the surface. Then turn off the heat, and leave the jam for 4 hours to cool completely.

Repeat cooking for 5 minutes two more times with a break for cooling.

Cherry plum jam with stone and orange is ready. Pour it into small sterile jars, roll it up with boiled lids and, after cooling, transfer it to a storage location.
