Sugar-free watermelon jam

This delicacy is called "watermelon honey". It can be used as a substitute for regular honey when preparing, for example, baking. It is also an ideal treat for those who are slimming or simply do not consume sugar.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
Let's prepare the watermelon, the sweeter it is, the sweeter the jam will be. We wash the watermelon, cut off the crusts, cut the pulp into pieces and remove the seeds.
step 2 out of 5
We put the pieces of watermelon in a saucepan and put on the smallest fire. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon so that the watermelon does not burn.
step 3 out of 5
Add orange zest with cinnamon to the watermelon and mix. Since there is no sugar in our recipe, with these additives we kind of "set off" the taste of watermelon. You can also add cloves, ginger or any other spices, all to your taste.
step 4 out of 5
Grind the watermelon to a state of gruel and cook until thickened. The cooking time depends on how watery the watermelon is.
step 5 out of 5
The consistency of the finished jam should be similar to thick sour cream or honey. Pour the jam while still hot, in sterilized jars and tighten with threaded lids.
Enjoy your tea!
