Watermelon Peel Jam with Orange and Lemon

There are not so many unusual sunsets, but today we will surprise you with one of them. Aromatic watermelon peel jam with citrus aroma. Such a blank can be a pleasant surprise and an excellent gift for the autumn and winter holidays.

First, prepare the crusts. Cut off the coarse green rind and cut them into pieces.

Fill the crusts with a liter of cold water and leave overnight so that all the nitrates come out. You can skip this step if it is a watermelon that you have grown.

We drain the water and fill our crusts with half the sugar. Stir and leave for a couple of hours so that they release the juice.

Transfer the crust and syrup to a saucepan and bring to a boil. After boiling, stir, reduce heat and cook for another 20 minutes.

While the jam is languishing, let's take care of the orange. We rub the zest from a whole orange, peel the orange itself, remove the white films and cut into pieces. We send the pieces and zest to the pan.
