Watermelon peel jam in a slow cooker

An amazing dessert that will amaze your friends and loved ones. Dense transparent pieces, in a viscous sweet syrup. The syrup is similar in consistency to liquid honey, which can be added to cereals or baked goods.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 5
We clean the crusts from the coarse green skin and cut into small cubes. You can also cut into strips as you like.
step 2 out of 5
In a large bowl, mix the water and baking soda and transfer the crusts there for 30 minutes to release the chemicals. After the time has elapsed, rinse thoroughly with cold water.
step 3 out of 5
We shift the crusts into the multicooker bowl and cover with sugar. Vanilla sugar can be used at this stage. For a more interesting flavor, you can add orange or lemon zest, as well as cinnamon or clove stars.
step 4 out of 5
We set the mode "quenching" and cook for an hour, stirring occasionally. If, after the time has passed, the crusts remain hard, then extinguish them for another half hour.
step 5 out of 5
Pour the finished jam into a clean jar and tighten the lid. Cover with a towel and let cool completely overnight. Store in the refrigerator.
Enjoy your tea!
