Wash the cherries.

Remove bones and tails, weigh the right amount.

Peel the hazelnuts, cut into halves or quarters, fill the space in the cherry that remains of the seeds.

Pour all the sugar into an enamel pan, pour in 500 ml. water.

Set the saucepan on low heat and boil the syrup, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.

Put cherry berries filled with hazelnuts in the prepared syrup. Bring the mass to a boil, cook over low heat for 3 hours, stirring from time to time.

Pour in vanillin. Mix well and cook on low heat for another 10 minutes.
