Sweet cherry jam with lemon and orange

If you are looking for an unusual way to make sweet cherry jam, then this recipe is for you! Adding lemon and orange to the jam allows you to achieve a bright and pronounced taste. The introduction of citrus notes not only sets off the sweetness, but also makes the taste of the treat unique.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
We wash the cherries and remove all the seeds.
step 2 out of 6
Fill the berries with granulated sugar, mix and leave overnight so that the cherries let the juice out.
step 3 out of 6
Place the orange and lemon in a saucepan, cover them with water and put on fire. Boil citrus fruits for 15 minutes. This action reduces the bitterness, while maintaining the taste of lemon and orange.
step 4 out of 6
We put the container with cherries on fire, bring to a boil and boil after that for another 15 minutes. Then turn off the gas and let the berries cool down (2 hours). After cooling down, put the berry mass again on the fire and also cook for 15 minutes. Then remove from heat and cool for a couple of hours.
step 5 out of 6
Grind the orange and lemon together with the zest in a blender. Add the resulting citrus mixture to the jam, stir and cook a third time for 20 minutes.
step 6 out of 6
Pour the prepared hot jam into prepared containers, close hermetically with lids and send to cool upside down under a blanket. For long-term storage, move the cooled cherry jam with lemon and orange to a cool place.

Enjoy your tea!
