Blackcurrant jam - grandma's recipe

Blackcurrant jam is not only tasty and aromatic, but also healthy. This recipe is a great option for making blackcurrant jam for the winter. Considering that this is my grandmother's recipe, the jam turns out to be doubly tasty and amazing. It is also worth noting the good consistency of the finished jam.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Black currant berries must be sorted out, thereby freeing them from tails and twigs. Then you should rinse the berries thoroughly.
step 2 out of 6
Next, placing the black currant in an enamel pan, fill it with the required amount of water according to the recipe.
step 3 out of 6
We put the container with berries and water on the fire. After boiling, boil the berries for another 5-7 minutes. Stir the berries occasionally.
step 4 out of 6
Next, add granulated sugar to the contents of the pan and mix everything. Bring to a boil and cook the jam for 30 minutes, not forgetting to stir.
step 5 out of 6
After half an hour, we check the jam for readiness. Place some jam on a spoon or plate and see - its consistency should be stretchy (it won't run off).
step 6 out of 6
Pour the finished jam into prepared jars, close the lids and let cool completely. From the specified amount of ingredients, 2.5 liters of ready-made jam is obtained. This jam can be stored both in a cool place and at room temperature. Open a jar of blackcurrant jam in winter and enjoy the treat!

Enjoy your tea!
