Blackcurrant jam as jelly

Black currants are rich in vitamins and pectin, a natural gelling agent. Therefore, it is so easy to make jelly from this berry.

Boil a sweet syrup with two glasses of water and four glasses of sugar.

Wash the berries and discard them in a colander to glass the liquid. Pour the berries into the sugar syrup.

Bring the berries and syrup to a boil, constantly remove the foam and stir the jam. After boiling, cook for 5 minutes.

Then add the remaining sugar, stir and remove from heat. Spread the hot jam over sterilized jars and tighten with the screw caps. After cooling, the jam turns out to be quite thick and will have a jelly consistency.
