Blackberry jam with apples

A terrific treat made from apple pieces and whole berries to thicken agar agar. The healthy, aromatic and almost marmalade jam will delight children.

Sort out the debris from the blackberries and remove the stalks from them. Transfer the berries to a sieve and rinse thoroughly under running water. Place the berries on paper towels and dry a little.

Wash the apples, core them and cut into small pieces. Combine agar with water and stir.

Put apples and berries in a saucepan and add sugar to them. Leave in a cool place for 2 hours.

Put the saucepan on fire, boil, stir and turn off. Remove the foam from the surface and leave the jam to cool.

Put the jam back on the fire, bring to a boil, add agar-agar and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the workpiece immediately into sterile jars and seal. Leave to cool completely in the room, covered with a towel.
