The pear is great for preparing delicious jam for the winter, because it boils well and the dessert turns out to be very thick. In this recipe, you are invited to grind a pear for jam in the old fashioned way, in a meat grinder, and not with the help of modern kitchen gadgets. It tastes better this way, try it! Flavor the jam with vanilla. The density of the jam is regulated by the cooking time.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
Rinse the pears well with warm running water and wipe dry with a napkin. Then cut them into quarters and remove the seed boxes. Twist the chopped pears in a meat grinder with a medium wire rack.
step 2 out of 4
Transfer the pear puree to a jam pot and place over low heat. Boil the chopped pear for 1-2 hours, until the liquid evaporates as much as possible and the jam becomes the density you need. Be sure to stir the jam with a wooden spoon. Pour the calculated amount of sugar, citric acid, vanillin into the thick puree, mix and cook the pear with sugar for another 20 minutes.
step 3 out of 4
Put the hot jam in pre-sterilized jars, preferably warm, so as not to burst. Seal the jars and cool them under a terry towel.
step 4 out of 4
Your amber pear jam is ready. You can serve it for breakfast or make any homemade cakes with it. Store the jam in a cool place.

Happy and tasty preparations!
