Pear jam with cinnamon for the winter

Cinnamon has always imparted a special and unique flavor to culinary products. In this recipe, you are invited to add it to pear jam. You will have an exquisite delicacy for a winter table. We prepare the jam by boiling 3 times with a break for cooling.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 6
Rinse the pears well with warm water and pat dry with a kitchen towel. Then cut them into quarters and remove the seed pods. The peel can be left on, so the pear pieces will better retain their shape.
step 2 out of 6
Cut the pears into slices, place in a bowl for making jam and add the calculated amount of sugar and ground cinnamon to them.
step 3 out of 6
Stir the pears with sugar and cinnamon and leave for 1 hour for the pear to give its juice.
step 4 out of 6
After this time and a sufficient amount of juice, you can cook the jam.
step 5 out of 6
Put the dishes with pears in sugar syrup over medium heat, cook for 5 minutes, turn off the heat and leave the jam for 4–5 hours to cool. Then repeat the cooking 2 more times with a break to cool down. This method will keep the pear slices intact and beautiful, while the cinnamon will darken the syrup.
step 6 out of 6
After the 3rd cooking, pour the hot pear and cinnamon jam into sterile jars and seal it tightly. Cool the jars under a warm blanket and then move to storage. Such jam is well kept at home temperature.

Happy and tasty preparations!
