Jam from irgi and currant

Fragrant jam made from irgi and currant is not only a good addition to tea, but also a very healthy delicacy. These berries are quite affordable in our region, not expensive, and go well with each other. And it doesn't take long to cook, just a couple of minutes and the treat is ready!

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 4
We carefully sort irga and currants from twigs, leaves and stalks. We rinse in a colander with water and let them dry.
step 2 out of 4
Dissolve sugar in water over low heat.
step 3 out of 4
Then add the berries to the pan, cook over medium heat until boiling. Stir the mass periodically. Foam will form on the top, it must be removed, otherwise the jam may ferment. We continue to cook for another 15 minutes, while removing the foam.
step 4 out of 4
We spread the jam and roll it up tightly.

Tip: don't rush to throw away the froth, it will be a great addition to tea, pancakes or fresh baked goods.

Bon Appetit!
