Cornelian cherry jam with orange is an Armenian delicacy that will not leave indifferent even a sophisticated gourmet. It is worth noting that this jam has a special cooking secret: it is cooked in several approaches. And therefore, it retains the maximum amount of vitamins contained in dogwood. And when combined with an orange, the healthiness of the jam becomes even greater.

First of all, you need to sort out the dogwood, then fill it with cold water with the addition of a tablespoon of soda and leave for several hours. After that, rinse the berry thoroughly with clean water and send it to a saucepan or other container with a thick bottom.

The next step is to cover the berry with sugar and wait another two hours. And this time the dogwood must let the juice, which will become one of the components for the syrup.

We wash the orange, cut it into large pieces, and then grind it with a blender. We combine the resulting mass with the cornelian-sugar mass, mix everything thoroughly and send it to low heat. The jam must be brought to a boil, then removed from the heat and cooled completely. Next, we again send the jam to low heat and bring it to a boil again. In the process of cooking, if necessary, remove the foam from the jam.
