Dogwood jam with lemon

Sometimes I like to pamper my relatives with delicious dogwood and lemon jam. Lemon gives sweet jam an incredible smell and a pleasant sour note. I offer you a recipe for aromatic jam and I hope that you will love this jam as much as I do.

Ingredients

Cooking process

step 1 out of 7
Sort the dogwood, put in a sieve, rinse and let the excess liquid drain. Pour the lemon over with boiling water, remove the lemon zest with a fine grater, cut in half and squeeze out the lemon juice. Pour granulated sugar into a saucepan with a thick bottom, pour in lemon juice and drinking water. Put on low heat and cook until the granulated sugar is completely dissolved.
step 2 out of 7
Add lemon zest to the syrup. Then put the dogwood berries in the prepared syrup.
step 3 out of 7
Mix thoroughly, bring to a boil, stirring occasionally and skimming off the resulting foam. Cook the jam for 15-20 minutes.
step 4 out of 7
Then remove from heat, cover with clean gauze or dry tea towel and leave as it cools completely.
step 5 out of 7
Put on low heat again, bring to a boil and cook for 20-25 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the jars, wash thoroughly and sterilize in the microwave or oven. Pour boiling water over the lids. Jars and lids must be completely dry.
step 6 out of 7
Remove hot dogwood jam from heat.
step 7 out of 7
Using a ladle, carefully spread the hot jam into sterile jars. Tighten jars of dogwood jam with lemon with sterile screw caps, cool completely by turning upside down and wrapped in a warm blanket. After cooling completely, move the jars to a cool, dark place for storage.

Enjoy!
